I wish to bring my pet into a RedScope Media event, the Okanagan Pet Expo on May 26th, 2024 at the Laurel Packinghouse and Square 1304 Ellis St, Kelowna, BC. 

By purchasing a Pet Waiver ticket, I understand that I am seeking permission to bring my pet to the Okanagan Pet Expo. 

 

• That I will be required to sign in at the Okanagan Pet Expo to confirm my understanding and compliance with the Pet Waiver.

• I confirm that my pet is up to date on both rabies and distemper vaccinations if required.

• I confirm that my animal is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is not in heat, is not aggressive and, to the best of my knowledge, is free from any contagious diseases or condition(s) that would make it a danger to any participant, spectator, other individual, or animal. 

• Confirm that my pet has not shown any of the following symptoms in the last 7 days: Cough, runny nose, fever, lethargy, eye discharge, and reduced appetite 

• That if my pet is unable to come with me, that there are no refunds as I can attend the Okanagan Pet Expo without my pet. 

• I am 19 years of age or older.

 

Rules:

• Each pet owner may only bring one pet with them. 

• All pets must be either on a leash, not exceeding 48” in length, or in a suitable harness/containment system, no retractable leashes. 

• ­Owner must clean up after his/her pet (clean up buckets will be provided).

• ­Pet owners must report any incidents to show staff and to First Aid immediately 

• ­Pet owners must adhere to the event rules, and obey security if asked to leave

• ­Your pet must meet all municipal by-laws .

• You must obey posted signs regarding access to designated area. 

• I understand that the animal that I bring to the event will receive an identifying band that must be present on/with the animal at all times in order for the animal to remain at the Okanagan Pet Expo.

 

I am aware that during my visit to the event, certain inherent risks are involved because I am attending with my pet, along with other attendees’ pets. In consideration for being allowed to attend the event with my pet, I acknowledge and voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for any risks to me and my pet, and further agree I waive and release any and all claims that I may have against RedScope Media, it’s events, its organizer, the event facilities, any and all employees and volunteers of the aforementioned organizations and agree not to sue for losses, damages, expenses, or fees which arise out of or result from, or are related to in any manner my attendance to the event. 

 

BY PURCHASING THIS TICKET AND SIGNING THIS WAIVER AT THE DOOR, I ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT I WAS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS WAIVER, TO DISCUSS ALTERNATIVES WITH EVENT ORGANIZERS, AND WERE GIVEN ADEQUATE CONSIDERATION FOR THIS WAIVER. I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THIS WAIVER SHALL BE BINDING ON EACH PARTICIPANT AND THEIR RESPECTIVE HEIRS, LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES, SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS, AND SHALL INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF THE EVENT ORGANIZERS.
